Description: Your lab technician has just come to you with a sample to be shipped out “RUSH” to your biggest customer. It’s a new product, and you don’t know much about it. You’ll need to find the answers to some important questions. Is the material hazardous? How should it be described on the shipping papers? How should it be labeled and packaged? If you’re going to answer these questions correctly, you have to know how to classify the material. This course teaches you classification procedures.
Prerequisites: Before taking this course, you should take DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation: General Awareness and be familiar with the DOT’s nine Hazard Classes and three Packing Groups.
Usability: This is an asynchronous course. Your browser should be IE 5.5+ or Netscape 6+ with cookies and JavaScript enabled. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view and print Certificates of Completion. You will also require the Flash plug-in. Flash and Acrobat Reader are pre-installed in most computers. |
