Description: This course covers the steps involved in using source information to select appropriate packaging for hazardous materials. Students will learn how to use an HMT and an MSDS. You will be able to interpret manufacturer information and apply what you’ve learned to appropriate packaging.
Prerequisites: Before taking this course, you should take DOT Hazardous Materials Transportation: General Awareness and be familiar with the DOT’s nine Hazard Classes and three Packing Groups.
Usability: This is an asynchronous course. Your browser should be IE 5.5+ or Netscape 6+ with cookies and JavaScript enabled. Adobe Acrobat Reader is required to view and print Certificates of Completion. You will also require the Flash plug-in. Flash and Acrobat Reader are pre-installed in most computers. |
